Overview
In our September forum, we are collaborating with Community Food and Health (Public Health Scotland), alongside Community Health Exchange (CHEX) and Common Health Assets!
Presentations will talk about their work broadly in relation to Local Good Food Nation Plans (i.e., demonstrate the variety and importance of community-led work, and how it could (and must!) intersect with the development and implementation of local plans).
First, we will hear from Public Health Scotland on their scoping review on what evidence there is, or what we need, in terms of the community food sector. Then, from CHEX around the challenges of evidence (and the third sector more widely), how CHEX supports the sector to gather evidence/report impact and making the links to policy, prevention/population health framework, local community planning. Finally, from Common Health Assets - approaches they are taking to map evidence of the impact of the third sector and particularly community led work.
The presentations will be followed by a 15-minute discussion/Q&A.
Please note, we will be recording the session and taking anonymised notes.
